Company behind the trading card game CROSS THE AGES (CTA), unveiled the completion of an equity funding round, raising $3.5 million, which was led by Animoca Brands, with additional participation from Sebastien Borget of The Sandbox and Nicolas Jeuffrain of Tenergie. With the latest funding, Cross The Ages has accumulated $23.5 million, encompassing community contributions. With the newly raised capital, the firm intends to accelerate its diverse growth initiatives and broaden its universe and ecosystem.

Sami Chlagou, co-founder of Cross The Ages, expressed excitement in a written statement about welcoming Animoca Brands as the primary contributor in their inaugural equity round. This partnership reflects a mutual dedication and endorsement for its gaming universe to broaden the intellectual property (IP) across Animoca Brands’ ecosystems and partners.

Cross The Ages represents a mobile-centric collectible card game that provides a complete value cycle spanning from mobile to desktop gaming, utilizing blockchain technology and ultimately transitioning to physical collectible cards with near-field communication technology.

Unfolding in a dystopian world, the game draws inspiration from several fantasy and science fiction novels authored by thirteen writers. Furthermore, it aims to establish a complete IP ecosystem, enabling users to leverage their assets across all aspects associated with the game. The game integrates free-to-play and play-to-earn mechanics.

Founded in 2020, Cross The Ages has forged partnerships with industry giants encompassing Ubisoft and Square Enix. Since the launch of its virtual trading card game in March 2023, the game has accumulated more than 400,000 downloads and boasts 148,000 monthly active users.

Cross The Ages Launches Token Generation Event, CTA Token To Be Listed On Major Crypto Exchanges

The announcement coincided with the initiation of the game’s ecosystem CTA Token Generation Event (TGE).

Currently, cryptocurrency exchanges, including Bybit, KuCoin, GATE, MEXC, HTX, Poloniex, and Uniswap, are preparing to list the project’s token. Additionally, apart from token listing, several exchanges will carry out supplementary activities. Bybit will provide the launchpool for staking and earning CTA tokens, while MEXC will offer a prize pool of $50,000 worth of USDT for users voting for Cross The Ages on its platform with their tokens.
