#Cryptocurrencies gaining ground in #Mexico and the U.S., study reveals
According to a study conducted by Consensys and YouGov, more and more Mexicans are familiar and interested in the concept of cryptocurrencies and other digital assets.
The study reveals that at least 94% of Mexicans have heard of cryptos.
In addition, 49% of respondents believe that cryptocurrencies are the future of money and digital property. This exceeds the global average by 10%.
However, despite the high level of awareness, only 13% of Mexicans surveyed own crypto, with #Bitcoin and #Ethereum being the most popular.
Interest in investing in cryptocurrencies is mainly due to curiosity (22%). Added to this are other factors such as the expectation of long-term profitability (14%) and recommendations from friends and family (14%).
