Shiba Inu’s global adoption push continues, with the next stop likely being Toronto, Canada. While the destination is not mentioned in Shytoshi Kusama’s latest message, the short video revealed something else just as important.
Shytoshi’s tweet reads: “Wen is so last year. The real question is.. #WHERE?”. The mysterious leader of the Shiba Inu executive team is likely referring to the SHIB community repeatedly asking to give an exact date for Shibarium.
Indeed, the highly-anticipated Layer-2 scaling solution for Shiba Inu (SHIB) is slated for a Q3 of 2023 release, according to earlier statements from the team. Interestingly, rumors among the Shiba Inu community on Twitter suggest that SHIB Token’s team will be joining this year’s edition of the ETHToronto conference.
Destination Shibarium: Paying Homage To Buterin?
Based on the rumors on Twitter, Discord, and SHIB Army’s Subreddit, SHIB Token might be headed for Toronto for August 13th to 16th, 2023. Moreover, a full-on presentation of all Shiba Inu-related products shall introduce the audience to Shibarium.
The highly awaited L2 scaling solution solves a couple of issues for the two-year-old memecoin. Firstly, now it’s an ERC-20 token depending on the Ethereum (ETH) network. When the popular canine coin is transitioned to Shibarium, it will unlock certain new possibilities and opportunities:
Faster transactions, cheaper fees.
Shiba Inu auto-burning mechanism.
Scalability for dApps, games, NFTs.
With these advantages, Shiba Inu is set to roll out SHIB: The Metaverse, a digital world exclusively for Shiba Inu fans & the blockchain version of Shiba Eternity, a collectible card game.
