Mining Reward Halved to 3.125 BTC
On April 20, 2024, at 00:09 (UTC) Bitcoin carried out its fourth "halving" event at the block height of 840,000.
The mining reward of the Bitcoin network dropped by 50%, from 6.25 BTC to 3.125 BTC.
This monumental event follows the previous halving, which happened on May 11, 2020.
