According to U.Today, Nassim Nicholas Taleb, a renowned scholar and author, has continued his criticism of OpenAI's flagship product, ChatGPT. Taleb, known for his books 'The Black Swan' and 'Antifragile', has expressed concerns over the AI chatbot's inability to provide sensible answers to users' questions. His critique has been echoed by other notable figures, including David Schwartz, Ripple's CTO and one of the creators of the XRP Ledger.

Taleb's criticism of ChatGPT has sparked a debate among users. Some agree with his assessment, describing ChatGPT as nothing more than a text generator. Others, however, have questioned why Taleb's criticism is solely focused on ChatGPT and not other AI technologies, such as Microsoft's Copilot AI. Taleb has not responded to these queries.

David Schwartz, Ripple's CTO, has also expressed his concerns about AI technology. While he did not specifically target ChatGPT, he criticized the influence of AI on popular online platforms like Quora. Schwartz described the platform as being 'littered with official AI-generated slop', sharing several examples of AI-generated questions.

Edward Snowden, the renowned U.S. whistleblower and former NSA analyst, has also issued a warning about ChatGPT. Following OpenAI's announcement of the appointment of former NSA boss Paul Nakasone to its board of directors, Snowden advised his followers against using ChatGPT. He expressed concerns about the potential for personal data to be accessed and spied on, particularly given Nakasone's previous role at the NSA.

Elon Musk, the tech magnate, has also criticized OpenAI's cooperation deal with Apple. Musk expressed concerns that ChatGPT would collect user data for storage on OpenAI servers for potential illegal use. As a result, he announced plans to ban all Apple-made devices in his companies, including visitor bans.
