According to Foresight News, cross-chain infrastructure Wormhole has released its roadmap, announcing that W will become a native multi-chain token. The plan leverages the advantages of Solana and EVM chains while introducing a multi-chain governance system. Initially, W will launch as a native SPL token on Solana, and then expand on EVM chains using Wormhole's native token transfer (NTT). W token holders will be able to lock and delegate their tokens on both Solana and EVM chains.
The Wormhole DAO, composed of W token holders, will be operated through a multi-chain governance system, which will be available on Solana, Ethereum mainnet, and EVM L2 upon release.
