According to PANews, Dutch prosecutors have requested a 64-month jail sentence for Tornado Cash developer Alexey Pertsev on money laundering charges. The two-day trial took place on Tuesday and Wednesday at the S-Hertogenbosch court and could potentially influence how other courts treat developers in similar cases. The court announced that a verdict will be delivered on May 14th.

In a pre-trial indictment shared by the Dutch prosecutor, Pertsev is accused of laundering $12 worth of cryptocurrency through the anonymous tool Tornado Cash. The indictment states that between July 9, 2019, and August 10, 2022, Pertsev 'developed a habit of money laundering.'
