According to Foresight News, Microsoft's Chief Innovation Technology Advisor, Xu Yutao, delivered a keynote speech at the 2023 Shanghai Blockchain International Week and Global Summit, hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs. In his speech titled 'AIGC Era and Web3's Re-mixed Innovation', Xu stated that the new wave of AI originated from OpenAI last year, but GPT technology was already established two years ago. So far, OpenAI's top four capabilities and use cases are content generation, summarization, code generation, and semantic search. Content generation is the direction in which Microsoft hopes to collaborate with Web3, and the company has already embedded blockchain technology in its products several years ago.

Xu Yutao revealed that Microsoft is integrating AI into every product, including New Bing, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Dynamics 365 Copilot & Power Platform Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and Security Copilot. He believes that, unlike Web2, the way we connect with the digital world is not through data acquisition but by playing an information connection role in a new paradigm. This involves obtaining information from others, processing it through large language models and human brains, and interacting with Copilot's new productivity to turn it into what we want. Xu believes that generative AI will have many Web3 scenarios, including encrypted education, trading assistants, market updates, smart contracts, NFT exploration, community management, and personalized alerts, among others.
