According to Cointelegraph, Manta Network has launched its zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs-based layer-2 (L2) blockchain solution, Manta Pacific. The platform is designed to power Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-native decentralized applications (DApps) using ZK-proof technology. Manta Pacific offers a software development kit and ZK library, providing plug-and-play functionality for developers. Being EVM-native allows apps deployed on Ethereum to be deployed on Manta Pacific and vice versa, while ZK-enabled features offer low gas fees and scalability. Users can also bridge Ethereum to Manta to explore its development environment.

Manta Network core contributor Kenny Li said that different ZK-rollup L2s offer various value propositions to address significant challenges faced by developers. Li believes that the market will eventually converge to a small number of solutions focused on making it easy for developers to build and deploy ZK-enabled applications. Manta Pacific has been in development for nine months, and its testnet launch in July 2023 saw the creation of 150,000 wallets and over 3.5 million transactions. In July 2023, Manta raised $25 million from investors to scale the project's network and use cases, targeting adoption in the Asian market.
