Bitcoin is undoubtedly the most invested in and traded cryptocurrency worldwide. so much so that it is reflected even in the communication tools used in daily life. The Bitcoin logo has long taken its place among WhatsApp emojis. Who designed the iconic BTC logo and how it came to be is actually based on a story. The current logo is not BTC's debut logo and has changed over time.

The first logo for Bitcoin was presented in 2009 by Satashi Nakamoto. The first logo, resembling a gold coin, consisted of the letters BC, not just B, but inside Bitcoin. This was the official logo of Bitcoin throughout 2009 and 2010. When the Bitcointalk forum page appeared, the fate of the logo was not sustainable.

Thanks to this forum, users have a common discussion platform. The BTC logo was also included in these discussions. Considering user comments about the logo, Nakamoto went in search of a new logo. The letters BC in the original logo were changed to only B and decorated with two vertical stripes referencing the dollar symbol.

The current version of the Bitcoin logo dates back to November 2010. A Bitcointalk user nicknamed Bitboy has added a new dimension to the BTC logo. Bitboy, which made changes to the last logo created by Nakamoto, presented the new logo for discussion on the forum. Thus, the logo took its final form and became the design that we are familiar with today.
