Within this challenging environment, XRP whales seem to be surrendering confidence as they intensify selling activities. According to Whale Alert, a cryptocurrency monitoring platform, three large-scale XRP transactions have been made to leading crypto exchanges, likely triggering further bearish sentiment and diminished short-term price expectations.
Significant selling pressure has emerged, with a notable investor relocating 17.94 million tokens, worth approximately $10.2 million at current XRP prices, from a private wallet to Bitstamp, and subsequently, Whale Alert identified another major transfer from a key investor.
A subsequent transfer of approximately 22 million XRP tokens, valued at around $11.7 million, was made to the trading platform Bitso from an investor's private wallet. This transaction, along with another earlier sale, was observed by the market. Additionally, Whale Alert identified a further significant XRP transfer from a major investor.
The third transfer involved the movement of approximately 20 million XRP tokens from a private wallet to Binance, the premier cryptocurrency exchange, valued at $10.7 million. In total, approximately 60 million XRP coins, with a combined value of $32.6 million, were transferred to three cryptocurrency trading platforms.
The price of XRP has been negatively influenced by potential sell-offs from significant holders. Currently, the Ripple-associated cryptocurrency trades at $0.5177, having plummeted 11.59% in the last 24 hours. XRP's current market situation is grave, with further price erosion likely. Prolonged selling pressure from whales may result in intensified market declines.
