🚹 Breaking News: SEC to Appeal Ripple Ruling 🚹

The U.S. SEC announced plans to appeal a federal judge's ruling in its case against Ripple. This comes after Judge Analisa Torres ruled in July that Ripple violated federal securities law through institutional sales of XRP but not through programmatic sales to retail exchanges. The SEC's initial attempt to appeal was denied, and Ripple was fined $125 million, far less than the SEC's $2 billion request.

The SEC argues the decision conflicts with Supreme Court precedent and securities laws. Ripple's Chief Legal Officer remains confident the appeal won't succeed.
