🚹 UK Man Pleads Guilty to Running Illegal Crypto ATMs 🚹

Olumide Osunkoya has become the first person in the UK to admit guilt for illegally operating cryptocurrency ATMs.

Between 2021 and 2023, he ran 11 unlicensed crypto ATMs, processing ÂŁ2.6 million ($3.5M). Despite being denied registration by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Osunkoya expanded his network, placing machines in local shops without verifying customers.

The court also heard he used a fake identity, raising concerns about money laundering.

He faces multiple charges, potentially landing him up to 14 years in prison. This case highlights the FCA’s crackdown on illegal crypto operations.
