**News Flash: US ETFs Surpass $10 Trillion Milestone**

For the first time, total assets in US exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have exceeded $10 trillion, driven by significant inflows into cryptocurrency ETFs. According to Bloomberg Intelligence and Morningstar, over $20 billion flowed into crypto ETFs in 2024 alone.

- Investors have poured approximately $691 billion into US ETFs this year.

- Crypto ETFs make up nearly 3% of these inflows.

Eric Balchunas, Bloomberg’s senior ETF analyst, predicts ETFs could hit $25 trillion within the next decade, noting a faster-than-usual growth rate.

Top performers include:

- Blackrock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) with over $21 billion in inflows.

- Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin ETF (FBTC) with nearly $10 billion.

- iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHE) with over $1 billion.

However, Grayscale Bitcoin Trust ETF (GBTC) saw outflows of nearly $20 billion, partly due to its higher management fees.

Leveraged ETFs, offering exposure to various assets, accounted for 80% of new ETF issues in 2024. Leveraged MicroStrategy ETFs also broke $400 million in net assets.

Vanguard, avoiding crypto ETFs, still captured about a third of net inflows this year. The SEC recently approved options on BlackRock’s IBIT, potentially boosting institutional adoption and spot BTC holders' gains.
