Solana Labs, in a statement, identified GameShift as a provider of Web3 primitives and actions. These mostly consist of cryptocurrency wallets, tokenized assets, and on-chain markets. By enabling GameShift, the developers can quickly enable Web3 in their existing Cloud game backend services. Currently, the services of GameShift are available on the Google Cloud marketplace. Notably, the statement urged its users to contact the Google Cloud manager or the GameShift Support to acquire the benefits.

Jack Buser, director of Games at Google Cloud stated that Web3 is essential for new growth and development. However, it is being compromised due to the complex technology. He added that the overly burdened game studios can be simplified with solutions like GameShift.

By increasing the focus on Web3, players can be converted easily into new partners and co-creators. By providing the transaction type, players can avoid phishing attacks. GameShift provides five prominent features to enhance the gaming functionality. It includes a seamless integration with a cryptocurrency wallet, managing the game assets, and pay-in and pay-out systems. Further, it enhances the functionality of the marketplace, and provides a rewards program. This program will design and implement the rewards using blockchain technology.

On an overall note, the partnership between Solana Labs and Google Cloud will be a breakthrough for the users. It will help gamers connect in a unified ecosystem of crypto wallets, assets, and activity. By leveraging Web3 technologies, new player experiences and channels can be created.
