As always, price will lead narrative and I doubt this report changes anything in terms of direction.
Whatever happens would have likely happened either way.
I think this is better than if the inflation numbers were to come in at like 0% or whatever.
Then people would get scared for recession/deflation which is a bigger fear than inflation right now.
Fed 25bps cut is pretty much set in stone. Was never a fan of the 50bps as that would likely just cause further panic. Although I think a 50bps would actually be the better step.
Don't think inflation is going to be an issue anymore for a while, especially seeing how much OIL is going down.
