The post Debate to Decide the Future of America : Trump Vs Harris appeared first on Coinpedia Fintech News

The United States is going to witness a very significant moment in the 2004 presidential race. Democratic Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump are getting ready to face each other for the election debate. The debate will happen at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia on September 10, Tuesday at 9 PM ET. This will offer voters an overview of how each candidate plans to run the nation. Let’s dive deeper and learn about the rules of debate and what to expect.

The Ground Rules

ABC News anchors David Muir and Linsey Davis will moderate the debate between Trump and Harris. The anchors will share more rules before the debate. Only the speaking candidate will have an active microphone. This will prevent interruptions. Only moderators can ask questions. On Tuesday, a virtual coin toss decided the order for closing statements and choosing the podium side. On winning, Trump chose to give a closing statement and Harris chose to use the podium on the right.

The debate will not have any opening statements. Each candidate will have only two minutes to respond to the posed question. Another two minutes for counter-argument and a minute for the follow up questions or clarifications. Candidates will remain behind podiums for the duration of debate. The candidates can not use props or some pre-written note.  The candidates will be provided with a pen, a paper pad and a bottle of water. Interestingly, during breaks the campaign staff can not communicate with candidates. And above all, there would be no audience in the debate space.

Preparation for the Debate

Only a few hours are left for the discussion. Let’s explore how each candidate has been preparing for this debate?Kamala Harris has been participating in mock debates with Philippe Reins. Over the weekend, she stayed in Pittsburgh to practice on her answers. Her “New Way Forward” platform includes proposals like the Child Tax Credit and capping insulin costs at $35. Her methodical approach could be seen as overly controlled, potentially leaving very less room for spontaneity.

On the other hand, Donald Trump has been actively holding meetings with allies and receiving foreign policy coaching from notable figures that includes, the former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former Democratic Representative Tulsi Gabbard. The aim of these sessions is to refine his stance on critical global issues and boost his debate performance. Trump might target Harris with questions regarding her view on immigration, taxes, and foreign policy. An interesting thing to see would be Crypto involvement in this debate. Trump has been very vocal about crypto, but would there be any questions related to crypto? To know this we will have to wait another few hours.

Where to watch

The debate between the two presidential candidates will be streamed live by ABC News Live24/7 streaming network and the Fox News. Along with these news media networks, OTT platforms like Disney+ and Hulu will also stream it live. The debate will start at 9 PM ET.

Looking ahead!

In a few hours former president Donald Trump and the current Vice-President will be in front of each other for a debate. It would be a fully moderated debate, still there would be many interesting things for the audience. This debate might bring clarity among the voters who are still confused to pick a side.
