Meow, co-founder of Jupiter, posted on X platform that in response to community feedback on how to display verification, they plan to display (a not too "dangerous") FYI verification icon for all tokens that have been verified by the team or community, with no exceptions for USDC and USDT. In addition, Mouseover Copy will be updated to better explain why some tokens may need to freeze permissions, and if there is a freeze power, the verification threshold should be higher than when there is no freeze power. These measures are fair to all tokens, not just current or high-profile projects, and need to be kept secure because most fraudulent tokens cannot be verified, while not scaring off most users. Subsequently, they will also promote important education on how tokens operate. Meow added that they did not expect the community to be so concerned about details, and even though some optimizations have been made, nothing can be perfect. They hope that the optimization of relevant measures will make the policy more clear and transparent, while improving the education of all users.
