A federal judge has given the green light for more time to figure out if former FTX CEO Sam "SBF" Bankman-Fried's donations to political action committees (PACs) can be forfeited. đ”ïžââïž
In a recent filing, US Attorney Damian Williams mentioned ongoing talks with SBF's lawyers about the funds sent to five PACs in 2022. These PACs, mainly Democratic, include House Majority PAC, Senate Majority PAC, and others.
Judge Lewis Kaplan extended the deadline for these PACs to file petitions until Sept. 13. SBF had donated around $40 million before FTX's collapse.
