According to BlockBeats, Dangerous Things and VivoKey Technologies, both based in Seattle, have launched implantable cryptocurrency wallets on July 11. These wallets, which utilize Near Field Communication (NFC) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technologies, are designed to facilitate secure cryptocurrency transactions.

As explained by official representatives, these wallets are hardware wallets used for sending cryptocurrencies. The user's smartphone application serves as the interface, but it does not hold any private keys. Instead, the private keys and the actual signatures for Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency transactions are completed within the chip. The retail price for the implantable device, known as Apex Flex, is set at $349.

The new product supports several different Bitcoin and cryptocurrency wallets, including the Satochip wallet, the Seedkeeper application, and the Status IM keycard wallet. These wallets are compatible with various blockchain networks.

Dangerous Things and VivoKey Technologies were established in 2013 and 2017 respectively. They specialize in researching NFC and RFID technologies that can be custom installed within the human body.
