Now a lot of newbies are coming into crypto through Airdrop
here is one popular scam used to steal from people, especially newbies, You need to be aware of this so you don’t lose your hard earned money to these cheap scammers
This scam is majorly popular on Facebook, we have seen this several times on different groups on Facebook
So, we would usually come across people on different groups on Facebook posting screenshot of a wallet with $500 and by the side they would attach a screenshot of the wallet recovery phrase
They will ask you to login into the wallet and take the $500 for free
Then, you will copy down the recovery phrase and you will quickly (being smart) try to login to the wallet, as you try it works, you open the wallet and you can see the $500 sitting cool
You refresh and refresh to confirm if it is real and boom, it is very real
You check again, and you see and confirm you are truly in the wallet with the $500
Now, you would want to send it to your main wallet right ?
( At this point, you have been scammed 🤣)
You will rush down to Binance and copy your USDT wallet address and open back the wallet to send out the $500
You tap on USDT
You Tap on Send
You put in your wallet address, and they request for BNB gas fee, which you know is a normal thing, you need to pay for gas fee for every transaction you make on a decentralized wallet
