Aave, the king of DeFi lending, is expanding its GHO stablecoin beyond the Ethereum network. Their first stop is Arbitrum, a popular Layer 2 blockchain known for its speed and lower fees. This move allows users to easily create and redeem GHO directly on Arbitrum using the Aave v3 platform.
Aave founder Stani Kulechov sees this as a major step, making GHO more attractive with faster transactions, lower fees, and potentially even enabling GHO digital payments. To jumpstart GHO adoption on Arbitrum, the Arbitrum DAO is even offering bonus tokens.
