Aragon Partners With Ukrainian Government To Bring DAO Education To Citizens
Aragon, a blockchain platform for building decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), has announced its partnership with the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation to launch a course that will teach Ukrainians how to create and manage DAOs.
The course will be delivered on the national governance app, Diia, which is used by over half the adult population of Ukraine. The goal of the course is to equip Ukrainians with everything they need to know to start a DAO, regardless of their previous knowledge.
Ukrainians have been facing a humanitarian crisis and a war, which has created an urgent need for alternative forms of coordination. Blockchain technology can provide unstoppable infrastructure that is a more resilient alternative when a nation state is under attack. Aragon has already supported Unchain Fund and Ukraine DAO, both of which have brought aid to Ukrainians on the ground, and is now excited to expand access to web3 education to empower Ukrainian citizens.
The course will cover the basics of DAOs, examples of how they can be used, and a step-by-step guide of how to launch them on the new Aragon App. The modules will be broken down into categories such as the foundation of DAOs, the blockchain, wallets and tokens, DAO frameworks, and bringing your DAO to life on the blockchain. By the end of the course, students will have launched their own DAO on-chain.
The Aragon team believes that DAOs can increase coordination and provide relief in times of crisis. With the right education and tools, the possibilities for ingenuity are infinite. The course on DAOs is just one part of a larger web3 course that is being designed. Partners such as Filecoin, ZKsync, Optimism, and Safe are working on other parts of the course, which range from theoretical blockchain learnings to practical self-custodial best practices. Over 100 hours of educational content are available on the platform, giving Ukrainians a gateway into the web3 ecosystem.
Aragon hopes that more nation states will put these powerful tools in the hands of their citizens. The partnership with the Ukrainian government is a step in the right direction, and Aragon is excited about the prospect of opening and growing partnerships with nation states to further the adoption of web3 technologies.

He destroyed $300,000 worth of bitcoins in them and then began transferring the cryptocurrency to Ukraine. The most interesting thing is that he is rather an employee of these secret services too!

Since the beginning of Russia’s full scale invasion last year, Ukraine racked up $225 million worth of donations in cryptocurrencies alone, blockchain intelligence firm Crystal Blockchain said in a new report shared exclusively with CoinDesk.
This is just a small part of the billions of donations Ukraine has raised in fiat. But the crypto part contributed to purchases of weapons, ammunition, medical equipment and other crucial war supplies.
