A malicious version of the cryptocurrency wallet Rabby Wallet has been spotted on Apple's App Store, with scammers desperately trying to lure victims by pretending to be legitimate product providers. According to a post by #X from the #Rabby.Wallet account. The fake mobile phone app “appeared again.” The team confirmed that there is no official mobile app “at the moment.” As of press time. Rabby Wallet is only available as a Google Chrome browser extension and standalone desktop app, according to the project's website.
Fake Rabby Wallet infiltrates Apple's App Store and the description of the fake app attributes its development to “Dinh Thi Phuonh Dung.” It is an entity for which no previous applications have been published on the App Store. Adding to the suspicions is that the developer’s privacy policy directs users to “freeprivacypolicy[dot]com.” Which raises questions about how the app was able to circumvent Apple's oversight. At the time of writing this report. Searching for “Rabby Wallet” will place the fake app in the top slot. Which raises concerns about the effectiveness of Apple's auditing process.
