The proposal aims to extend the Inclusion List ( #EIP-7547 ) to incorporate support for #Blob transactions (type-3), which are currently not included. This document outlines structural changes necessary for this inclusion, dividing them into Consensus data structure changes, Consensus check changes, Networking changes, Proposer duty changes, Inclusion list verification changes, Payload verification changes, and Execution verification changes. Specifically, it suggests adding a new field, tx_type, to #InclusionListSummaryEntry to identify transaction types and introduces blobs to InclusionList. Additionally, it discusses modifications to consensus checks, networking setups, proposer responsibilities, and verification procedures to accommodate Blob transactions. It emphasizes aligning blob transactions with inclusion lists, proposing new IL blob sidecars, and verifying blob integrity alongside normal transactions. These adjustments aim to seamlessly integrate Blob transactions into the existing framework while maintaining the integrity and security of the network.

Blast announced that it will upgrade to support blobs on May 27 at 2PM PT.

After the upgrade, gas fees paid by users will decrease, and DApps will receive more gas fee income. Infrastructure providers are advised to upgrade to the latest Blast node that supports version 4844.

This upgrade includes three key components:
