Utah’s top judge says SEC lawyers may be sanctioned for “false statements” in crypto cases
A new court document shows that Robert J. Shelby, the chief federal judge in Utah, has ordered the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to explain its statements made during the implementation and maintenance of the temporary restraining order (TRO) against the cryptocurrency company DEBT Box. The judge found that some of the SEC's statements regarding the order were "false or misleading" and that SEC lawyers may face sanctions.According to federal rules cited by Shelby, sanctions "shall be limited to what is sufficient to deter repetition of such conduct," which may include monetary penalties but may also be limited to "non-monetary directives." SEC and its lawyers have 14 days to respond to Robert's order.

TRM Labs partners with Australian crypto exchange Swyftx to combat scams
Blockchain analysis company TRM Labs has partnered with Australian cryptocurrency exchange Swyftx to combat fraud in the country. The program will be first tested globally, and Australian cryptocurrency users who activate two-factor authentication on their crypto accounts will receive AUD 10 (USD 6.6) worth of bitcoin. The launch of the campaign coincides with the Australian government's Scams Awareness Week (27 November to 1 December). The announcement states that the trial will test incentivizing crypto customers to protect their accounts and educate themselves on avoiding investment fraud.

Solomon Islands Launches Central Bank Digital Currency Pilot Project with Soramitsu Support
The Central Bank of Solomon Islands has launched a proof-of-concept for a central bank digital currency called Bokolo Cash, with support from Japanese blockchain Soramitsu. Bokolo Cash will be worth one Solomon Islands dollar and can be used in retail settings and for person-to-person transfers in the capital city Honiara. The project will also test wholesale transfers between commercial banks and simulated cross-border payments and remittances. Users will undergo “two-tier” Know Your Customer verification, and the currency will operate on a tailor-made blockchain based on Hyperledger’s Iroha with connectivity to Soramitsu’s public Sora blockchain.
