According to Odaily, Tron and El Dorado have announced a collaboration to pilot gas-free USDT transactions in Latin America. From October 7 to October 30, users will be able to withdraw USDT from the Tron network to external wallets through the El Dorado platform without incurring gas fees, albeit with a limited number of free transactions per day. El Dorado, a leading stablecoin trading platform in Latin America, has facilitated over 2.5 million USDT in peer-to-peer transactions and serves a community of more than 270,000 users.
In July, Tron founder Justin Sun revealed that the team is developing a gas-free transfer solution, expected to launch in the fourth quarter of this year. The costs will be entirely covered by the stablecoin itself. This innovation will initially be implemented on the Tron blockchain and later extended to Ethereum and all EVM-compatible public chains.
As of now, the circulating supply of TRC20-USDT exceeds 61.8 billion tokens, accounting for 51% of the total USDT supply across all networks. The number of users has surpassed 53.65 million, with over 2.037 billion cumulative transactions, making it the most widely adopted on-chain stablecoin.
