According to Foresight News, Arbitrum has proposed the activation of ArbOS 31, aiming to implement it on the Arbitrum One and Nova networks. Currently, these networks are utilizing ArbOS 20. The proposal voting commenced on August 1.

The primary upgrades in ArbOS 31 include the activation of Arbitrum Stylus, which supports the development of EVM applications using programming languages such as Rust and C++. Additionally, the upgrade introduces secp256r1 curve verification precompilation, which aims to reduce verification costs. Furthermore, the proposal seeks to optimize the fee collection mechanism on the Arbitrum Nova network.
