Goldman Sachs has made a bold move in the crypto space. The banking giant disclosed $1.58 billion in Bitcoin ETF holdings across BlackRock and Fidelity funds. This marks a significant increase from the previous quarter. In Q3 2024, Goldman held $461 million in BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT). By Q4, that figure jumped to $1.27 billion. Similarly, its stake in Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Trust (FBTC) grew from $140 million to $288 million.
