According to Coinglass data, bitcoin shorts were squeezed during Monday's trading session, resulting in the liquidation of about $250 million of leveraged bets, mostly shorts. More than 141,175 traders liquidated over the past 24 hours, bringing the total liquidations to $416.16 million. The most significant single clearing order worth US$8.23 million in BTC-USDT was placed on #Binance .

The global cryptocurrency market is currently worth $2.53 trillion, up 6.03% in the last 24 hours.

Stocks retreated on Monday, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite indexes falling from all-time highs despite gains in tech stocks linked to the artificial intelligence boom.

The S&P 500 index fell slightly 0.12 percent to 5,130.95, while the Nasdaq Composite index fell 0.41 percent to 16,207.51.
