Telegram announced this week that it will allow users to turn gifts into ''NFT- on The Open Network'' using Telegram Stars, an in-app currency tied to Toncoin (TON), a native blockchain network token. The gifts, introduced
Telegram in October, are collections of animated illustrations and custom messages that can be gifted and displayed on a user's Telegram profile.
The new feature is part of the Telegram program. As part of the first update in 2025, users of the messaging app will be able to turn more than 20 existing gifts, including jelly rabbits and Santa hats, into collectibles (NFTs) with a small number of Telegram Stars and the cost of #blockchain fees up to Covering the cost of Line_Break stickers to be traded on Line_Break will be launched on Telegram via The Open Network (TON).
