Santiment: 5 Altcoins to Watch Out For, Cryptocurrency Up 20,000% in 2024 Could Keep It Going Next Year
New data from on-chain analytics firm Santiment reveals that one altcoin that has seen big gains this year is experiencing major investor activity.
Among altcoins with a market cap of at least $500 million, tokenized artificial intelligence project Virtuals (VIRTUAL) is up a staggering 20,000% year-to-date, Santiment said.
In a statement on social media platform X, Santiment emphasized that VIRTUAL stands out in terms of market capitalization and investor activity.
Santiment also noted that during the recent crypto market crash, investors with large amounts of assets moved to accumulate 10 cryptocurrencies, including VIRTUAL.

Other notable altcoins on the list include stablecoin issuer Usual (USUAL) and its stablecoin Usual USD (USD0), decentralized forecasting platform Gnosis (GNO), decentralized finance (DeFi) project Aave (AAVE) and meme coin Floki (FLOKI).
