I want to deep dive on Arweave, do you have a good read?

Is Arweave like IPFS?
IPFS is built for content addressing, this means it’s designed to find individual files, not store them permanently. IPFS has a “garbage collector” that goes around and deletes files. There’s no payment for IPFS, hence no long term guarantee. Arweave is designed for permanent, decentralized data. You simply pay once and store permanently.
Is Arweave built on top of IPFS?
No, Arweave is its own entirely separate blockchain.
How expensive it is to upload on Arweave?
No subscription needed for storage after that. Pay once, store permanently. You can see fees here: https://ar-fees.arweave.dev/
Is Arweave built on top of Ethereum?
No, it’s an entirely separate blockchain, actually called a blockweave.
Can I pay for storage with other tokens (ETH, SOL, MATIC, etc.)?
Yes, you can pay for storage in about 13+ different tokens, including ETH, SOL, MATIC, etc. Irys.xyz supports several payment types for easy use and ArDrive Turbo accepts credit cards.
How much data can you store on Arweave?
It’s basically limitless. It’s designed specifically to hold massive amounts of data. There are many full length movies on Arweave.
How do you access data on Arweave?
You access via a transaction ID, like q5tPm5RLZ2hFYGayAAUc-g8tPhw4hJE9sBCTQGaJoqY + a gateway in your browser.
It looks like this: https://arweave.net/q5tPm5RLZ2hFYGayAAUc-g8tPhw4hJE9sBCTQGaJoqY. There are a number of gateways to access content on Arweave and the Permaweb.
