A series of crypto companies donated millions of dollars to sponsor Trump's inauguration

A series of large American technology and financial companies are actively donating to President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration, scheduled to take place on January 20, 2025. Donors include Meta with a donation of donated 1 million USD, Amazon, OpenAI and many other prominent names.

Elon Musk has become the largest political donor in the United States with 270 million USD. Both Meta and Amazon announced a $1 million donation to Trump's inauguration fund, with Amazon also broadcasting the event on its Prime Video platform. Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, also announced plans to donate $1 million, emphasizing Trump's role in leading America into the age of artificial intelligence.

In addition to tech companies, many crypto companies such as Kraken and Ripple also participated in the donation, with Ripple pledging $5 million in XRP tokens. This situation reflects a shift in relations between the technology world and Trump, after years of tension during his first term.
