Solana's decentralized applications (DApps) saw a significant boost in November, largely thanks to the memecoin launchpad Pump.fun and the blockchain's DeFi ecosystem. According to Syndica, Solana-based DApps generated $365 million in revenue for the month. Pump.fun alone surpassed $100 million, despite halting its livestream feature due to inappropriate content concerns. This pause led to a 66% drop in weekly revenue. Memecoin DApps on Solana have been the top earners in 2024, raking in $509 million, with a remarkable growth from just $600,000 in January.
