What is Ethereum ?
Ethereum is a decentralized, open-source blockchain platform that enables developers to build and deploy smart contracts and decentralized applications (DApps). Launched in 2015 by Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum extends beyond the capabilities of Bitcoin by supporting a programmable blockchain, allowing for complex transactions and self-executing contracts. Its native cryptocurrency, Ether (ETH), is used to power transactions and computational services on the network. Ethereum aims to create a more transparent, secure, and efficient digital economy.
