Tyler Winklevoss, co-founder of crypto exchange Gemini, has accused Gary Gensler, chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), of intentionally pursuing a personal and political agenda in his actions against the crypto industry. Winklevoss said that Gensler has caused “irrevocable damage” to the crypto industry and the country that cannot be undone.
Winklevoss believes that Gensler should not be allowed to hold any position at any institution and called for a boycott of any organisation that hires or works with Gensler. A lawsuit has also been filed against the SEC and Gensler by 18 U.S. states, alleging “gross government overreach.”
