Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has clarified he has no plans to return to Binance's operations. Following four months in jail, CZ's recent public appearances, including one at Binance Blockchain Week, highlighted his reflections on his absence and ongoing separation from the company he founded. Zhao, a major stockholder, confirmed he's no longer on Binance's management team and dispelled rumors of a "lifetime" ban from managing exchanges, stating that it wasn’t part of his plea agreement with U.S. authorities, where he faced charges for violating the Banking Secrecy Act.
Zhao shared that he’s shifting focus to new ventures like the Giggle Academy, an educational platform aiming to reach over a billion learners globally using AI-driven, interactive lessons. He’s also investing in other fields, including AI, blockchain, and biotech, marking a new chapter in his career away from Binance's direct operations.
While remaining optimistic about crypto's future—especially Bitcoin’s potential growth in line with its historical four-year cycle—Zhao also urged caution, noting the risks and volatility in the market. His forward-looking views on regulation and crypto's growth underscore his belief in long-term resilience, even as he navigates away from Binance’s operational helm.
