For those interested in the journey of Prom Network ($PROM ) testnet campaigns, here’s an overview of developments from the past six months.
Prom Network’s testnet officially launched on March 16, 2024, on Polygon CDK, a tech choice aimed at ensuring swift, secure on-chain transactions with compatibility for both EVM and non-EVM chains. Within days, Prom introduced two initiatives—the Delegate and Validators Campaigns—designed to boost community engagement and increase visibility. These campaigns empowered participants to assume roles within Prom’s DAO, which is structured to give $PROM holders voting power, reward active participation, and foster decentralized governance. Here, members propose ideas and vote, delegates gain additional voting power, and validators provide security by reviewing proposals.
Rewards for active contributors included Delegate and Validator roles, available through campaigns on Zealy and the testnet dashboard. During the intense initial months, Zealy campaign tasks required daily completion, demanding considerable commitment from early participants, sometimes up to four hours per day. However, with the testnet’s second phase launched on September 9, 2024, most Zealy tasks shifted to a weekly schedule, offering a reprieve to contributors, though delegate tasks on the dashboard remain daily, maintaining high engagement.
As of now, Prom’s testnet continues to operate smoothly, with fewer integration announcements signaling that the mainnet launch is close.
