Thai YouTuber Arrested in Indonesia for $59M Scam
Natthamon Khongchak, a 32-year-old Thai YouTuber known as "Nutty," was arrested in Indonesia after fleeing with $59 million from a scam that targeted over 6,000 victims. She posed as a forex trader, showcasing a luxury lifestyle on social media.
Nutty left Thailand in 2022 after her investment scheme, promising 35% returns, collapsed. Despite claiming she’d repay followers, she fled with her secretary, Nichapat, first to Malaysia, then to a remote island in Indonesia, where they were eventually arrested.
After two years on the run, Nutty and Nichapat are now back in Thailand to face charges, leaving devastated victims in their wake.
