**News Flash: SEC Approves Bitcoin ETF Options Trading**
Big news for crypto enthusiasts! On Oct. 18, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) gave the green light to the New York Stock Exchange's application to list options for spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
This means options trading is now available for 11 approved ETF providers, including big names like Fidelity, ARK21Shares, Invesco, Franklin, VanEck, WisdomTree, Grayscale, Bitwise, BlackRock, and Valkyrie.
The Chicago Board Options Exchange had filed for this change back in August 2024, aiming to align Bitcoin ETF options with other commodity-based ETFs. This move marks a significant step in the evolving landscape of cryptocurrency investments.
