TORONTO, ON – Metis is pleased to announce that Hashkey Cloud has onboarded onto the Decentralized Sequencers network and is now live on the Metis Mainnet, becoming the Layer 2’s first external decentralized sequencer client. The launch comes after Hashkey Cloud successfully completed the Critical Evaluation Group (CEG) review in late July with outstanding community support.

“We’re delighted to stand side-by-side with Metis in furthering decentralization across Web3, and we’re excited to be trailblazers as Metis’ first decentralized sequencer client” said Leo Li, CEO of Hashkey Cloud.

This milestone reaffirms Metis’ commitment to creating a Layer 2 solution focused on decentralization, enabling contributors to have a role in network ownership, governance, and economic security through revenue sharing.

“This is a significant step for both Metis and the broader decentralized ecosystem. Bringing Hashkey Cloud on board as our first external decentralized sequencer client reflects our dedication to creating a strong and inclusive network,” said Tom Ngo, Executive Lead of Metis L2.

Hashkey Cloud’s integration into the Decentralized Sequencers network marks progress in Metis’ efforts to develop a decentralized Layer 2 solution. We appreciate the Metis community’s support in reaching this point.

As Hashkey Cloud goes live, Metis remains committed to transparency, security, and community empowerment, working together to advance decentralized networks.
