According to PANews, Russian State Duma Deputy Chairman Vladislav Davankov has called for the immediate blocking of websites operated by major French companies in Russia. This request was directed to the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media of Russia.
The call for action follows the recent arrest of Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durov by the French National Fraud Office at a French airport. In response to this incident, Davankov has also urged the Russian Foreign Ministry to take steps to secure Durov's release.
