While most assets in the cryptocurrency industry (and beyond) are experiencing wild swings, veteran trader and renowned market expert Peter Brandt believes there is a clear winner in the battle between Solana (SOL) and Ethereum (ETH), and why.
In particular, in his analysis published in the Post X on August 8, despite the protests of part of the crypto community, Brandt is convinced that Solana is the "clear winner" in the battle with #MarketDownturn , arguing that the former is user-friendly and has a "great foundation.
On the other hand, he believes that Ethereum is "cumbersome, expensive, imperfect and pretends to be decentralized when it's not, arguing that the fifth largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization "should overtake #MarketDownturn by 100% in the next few months.
In fact, Solana has outperformed Ethereum this year, rising 54.95% since January 1, 2024. Meanwhile, the most popular altcoin on the market has risen just 16.33% over the same period.
In the meantime, Brandt's views have sparked opposition from some in the crypto industry, who disagreed with him in their comments. One commentator said:

In addition, crypto analyst Nilesh Rohilla compared Solan to other assets that were once hailed as "ETH killers": EOS (EOS) is now near its all-time low (ATL), while #Cardano (ADA) has fallen 90% since 2021, when its yield was

". He stated that the same will happen with SOL.
In response, Brandt accused Ethereum supporters of using the same argument whenever
