Stacks Founder: The final code for the Nakamoto upgrade will be released to network operators on August 28, at which point the activation window will open.
PANews, August 9th news, Stacks Layer2 network co-founder Muneeb Ali tweeted that the specific timeline for the Nakamoto upgrade has been announced. The final code will be released to the network operators on August 28th, at which point the activation window will open. All tests must be passed before the final binary file is released, and the current process is progressing smoothly. Network operators will upgrade within the 92nd stacking cycle, and after successfully completing the handover of signatories between the 92nd and 93rd cycles, the core development team will choose the final hard fork block number, and the Nakamoto system will officially go live.
Additionally, the sBTC release plan is still expected to be carried out approximately 4 weeks after the launch of Nakamoto. Nakamoto is the most important upgrade for the Stacks project since its inception, with complexity comparable to Ethereum's transition from PoW to PoS. The first stage of the upgrade has been successfully completed, unlocking over $1 billion in capital and locking it into the new system. With the release of the final binary file on August 28th, the core development team will optimize each step to ensure a smooth launch of Nakamoto.
