$IO Token Launch and Market Response
On June 11, 2024, the $IO token officially launched the on Binance.com, sparking significant interest in the decentralized AI computing sector among the market and builders.
IO Summit 2024 & Ignition Rewards Program
io.net successfully hosted IO Summit 2024, a major product and ecosystem release event that reimagined all components of the io.net stack: IO Worker, IO Cloud, IO Explorer, IO ID, and BC8.AI. The event was attended by leadership teams from io.net, the Solana Foundation, and Aptos Labs.
Over the three campaigns of the Ignition Rewards program, more than 25 million $IO tokens have been distributed to over 1 million verified unique addresses, rewarding workers and community members.
GPU Growth and Cluster-Ready Hardware
In Q2, the total number of verified GPUs on io.net grew to 309,571, with 38,073 cluster-ready GPUs. The latest figures indicate that the total value of cluster-ready hardware on IO Cloud is approximately $86.7 billion.
Currently, the top five cluster-ready GPU models on IO Cloud are GeForce RTX 4090, A100-PCIE-40GB, GeForce RTX 3080, H100-80GB-HBM3, and GeForce RTX 4080, demonstrating a healthy balance between mining and enterprise-grade AI GPUs.
Over 68% of the cluster-ready GPUs on IO Cloud are high-end enterprise-grade GPUs, defined as GeForce 4090 or higher.
The top five regions for GPU suppliers on io.net are Hong Kong, the United States, Japan, Singapore, and Vietnam. The global supply network helps io.net provide resilient and cost-effective GPU services to customers worldwide.
Services and Revenue
Since its inception, IO Cloud has served over 23,000 GPU clusters, 381,000 inferences, 1 million compute hours, and 1.9 million on-chain transactions on Solana and Aptos. The network has generated $1.1 million in revenue for workers.
Q3 Outlook
In Q3, io.net will introduce $IO staking to further enhance the quality of IO Cloud services. Once launched, GPU workers will need to stake a minimum amount tokens to connect to io.net.
