In a groundbreaking move for the Web3 gaming community, Notcoin has partnered with Lost Dogs Co and Getgems to release an innovative, story-driven game. This collaboration reflects a major evolution in Web3 apps by merging engaging narratives with earning incentives.

Notcoin, renowned as the pioneer of the tap-to-earn Web3 game, captured the attention of over 35 million players earlier this year. Players incessantly tapped their screens to collect digital tokens, which were later converted into $NOT tokens and traded on major exchanges in the largest token launch of crypto games in 2024. Despite the success, Notcoin recognized that the tap-to-earn model couldn’t sustain long-term growth and engagement, leading to the end of the mining phase on April 1.

This strategic shift aims to reward the Notcoin community better and build a sustainable ecosystem, transitioning from a mere cryptocurrency to a powerful community movement. The new game, developed in collaboration with Lost Dogs Co and Getgems, emphasizes storytelling and emotional engagement, setting a new standard in the Web3 space.

Bringing Web3 Gaming Evolution

In this first-of-its-kind game, users embark on a journey filled with intriguing tasks and choices. Players join communities and vote on the dogs’ actions in their quest for a new home. Each decision is pivotal, with ethical implications that shape the narrative and impact the dogs’ journey. The characters, represented by Lost Dogs NFTs, originally launched in March 2023 and tradeable on Getgems, will evolve with the story, gaining special powers and becoming celebrities within the game.

Sasha Plotvinov, Founder of Open Builders and Notcoin, said, “Lost Dogs is not an ordinary game, better to call it a gamified experience – every day, you will be asked to make a decision that will shape the story which is happening in this magical dogs world. The more good decisions you make, the better for your pack (and your drop). We are all Lost Dogs in a way. The team behind the game knows this better than anyone else, which is what makes this experience so special.”

The Getgems team is thrilled to see their NFTs used in such a dynamic and interactive way. Vanya, Founder of Getgems, said, “Our goal is to demonstrate how NFTs can build and communicate narratives, driving mass adoption through innovative storytelling and gameplay. This is just the first of many games to be promoted by Notcoin, setting the stage for a new era of interactive blockchain experiences.”

This collaboration also positions The Open Platform (TOP) as more than just a venture builder creating DEXs and wallets. TOP can undertake unconventional and groundbreaking projects, enhancing its image as the leading venture studio.

Mad Tail, Lost Dogs Co CBO (Chief Barking Officer), said, “We’re just stray dogs who come up with many ideas during our walks. What are ideas without implementation? Empty barking. We went to the people at the TOP and they gave us everything we needed – all that was left was to take brushes and pens in our paws and write the most jaw-dropping story. We want to unveil to you a world full of discoveries, joy, suffering, cliffhangers, and mysteries. And, of course, we want to make sure everyone can play with their Notcoins and distribute $WOOF. Woof!”

Lost Dogs Co is a small creative team founding social projects on TON. Their portfolio includes a successful NFT collection with gaming mechanics backed by several social gaming projects. By focusing on storytelling and emotional engagement, Notcoin, Lost Dogs, and Getgems are proving that innovation can come from unconventional places, paving the way for the future of Web3 gaming.
