Cameron Winklevoss on Kamala Harris Crypto 'Reset' Intentions: Beware of the Big Bluff
Cameron Winklevoss, co-founder of Gemini and Winklevoss Capital, has called out U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris for her alleged intentions to reset the relations of the current government with the crypto industry. Winklevoss stated that, as former President Trump had previously acknowledged, the crypto industry is a ‘high IQ industry’ and would not fall for any bluffs.
Cameron Winklevoss Calls out Kamala Harris’ ‘Big Bluff’ on Crypto
Crypto is becoming a relevant campaign subject for both Republican and Democratic parties. Cameron Winklevoss, co-founder of U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange Gemini and VC firm Winklevoss Capital, has dismissed the reports alleging that U.S. Vice President and soon-to-be-declared Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris wants to reset the relations of the current administration with the cryptocurrency industry.
“Beware of the big bluff,” he stressed in a statement post on X, calling out Harris’ supposed intentions of getting closer to the cryptocurrency industry actors in the country. He said this would be useless unless she is ready to take “swift, bold, and concrete action.”
Referring to the historic participation of former U.S. President Donald Trump at the Bitcoin 2024 Conference, Winklevoss declared:
As President Trump astutely pointed out this weekend at The Bitcoin Conference, we are a high IQ industry. We will not fall for any bluffs. And we will not be swayed by what you say. We will only consider what you do.
Furthermore, Winklevoss stated that if Harris and the democratic party had the power to retire Joe Biden, they could also retire Gary Gensler, Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, before November. “Show us what can be,” he concluded.
Cameron’s statements join the remarks made by his brother Tyler regarding Harris’ decision not to appear at the Bitcoin 2024 Conference. Tyler specified that the cryptocurrency industry would “show no mercy in November,” bringing all the weight of its influence to support Trump in the upcoming election.
