According to CoinDesk, the CoinDesk 20 Index experienced a decline, closing at 2299.72, which is a 2.2% drop from the previous day's close. The index, which is a broad-based measure of the cryptocurrency market, saw mixed performance among its constituent assets.

Out of the 20 assets in the index, four recorded gains. Ethereum Classic (ETC) led the way with a 4.1% increase, followed by Polygon (MATIC) which rose by 1.5%. On the other hand, Internet Computer (ICP) and Avalanche (AVAX) were the biggest laggards, falling by 5.6% and 5.2% respectively.
