According to U.Today, the Shiba Inu team’s official marketing lead, Lucie, has announced an upcoming cryptocurrency giveaway this week. Lucie reminded the community about the event and suggested that the second-largest meme-inspired coin, SHIB, could potentially increase in value significantly within a week. She hinted that $1,000 worth of SHIB could easily become $10,000 in a short period, indicating a possible price surge for the cryptocurrency, which is currently trading at $0.000017.

Lucie’s earlier tweets detailed that users who post with the hashtags #TreatYourSelf and #Shibarium have a high chance of winning SHIB worth at least $50. The maximum prize for the giveaway is $1,000 in SHIB for the first-place winner, $500 for the second place, $250 for the third place, and $50 for four fourth-place winners. Participants are also required to follow the lead developer Shytoshi Kusama and top developer Kaal Dhairya on social media. The winner will have the option to choose which Shibarium token they wish to receive as their prize.

In addition to the giveaway, Lucie announced that a video featuring Shytoshi Kusama and Kaal Dhairya during their recent visit to Mumbai, India, has gone viral on TikTok, amassing over 5.7 million views. Both developers are seen wearing masks in the video. Prior to their visit to India, Kusama attended the IVS 2024 event in Kyoto, Japan, also wearing a mask and a hood. Following their visit to India, Shytoshi Kusama gave his first-ever interview to Arabian Business, where he debunked claims that his real name is Elon Musk. He expressed a desire to meet Musk and demonstrate his work, even posting on social media to challenge Musk to a conversation.
